Deliberate practice refers to a special type of practice that is purposeful and systematic. While regular practice might include mindless repetitions, deliberate practice requires focused attention and is conducted with the specific goal of improving performance.

In this experience report, Dwayne Green, test manager at 1-800-CONTACTS, will share how he applied the deliberate practice principles to his team.

The participants will learn how they can use the same principles at their workplace; and how they can grow their team members to be more productive and perform better as well.

Key Takeaways:
* Successes and pitfalls to avoid while applying Deliberate Practice principles in a work setting.
* How using Deliberate Practice principles and techniques can improve the testers on the teams that are turning into DevOps teams.
* Ideas to take back to work and try to implement to get testers a more deliberate mindset.

This session is relevant to both Test Managers and for Test Professionals.
