Learn how to build accessibility into your product with Lisa Del Monte, Senior UX designer at Audible.
Spoiler alert: You cant do it on your own! Introducing accessibility into your team & organization's workflow requires well planned, cross-functional collaboration - from Product all the way to QA.
So why does building accessible solutions matter?

Imagine if all text on your website or app were to become illegible. This is a reality that people with visual impairments as well as those without visual impairments browsing in bright light conditions face when we use insufficient color contrast.

Now imagine if a banner image directing users to a 2-for-1 sale fails to load & there is no alternative method to consume the images content. This is how blind or visually impaired people who use screen readers as well as those who disable the display of images simply because they want to save on data charges will experience our product when we don't include descriptions for images.

In this talk, Lisa will share how designing for people with permanent disabilities can benefit all users, as well as methods they have found successful to integrate accessibility within Audible. This talk is for anyone interested in introducing accessibility into their organizations workflow, & although there is no one size fits all solution, attendees will walk away with actionable guidelines to get them started on their journey.
